Toot Toot trains on our Tracks

TOOT for the Future
Trains On Our Tracks!

We want our trains back on the tracks.
We want our trains, we need them back.
To move the people from town to town.
To help the young and old to get around.
We want our trains back on the tracks.
We want our trains, we need them back.

TOOT for the future ~ Trains on our tracks.
TOOT for the future ~ We want them back!

From Casino to Murwillumbah and on to Queensland is not so far.
Sure beats driving in the car – see the best part of Australia!
The Rainbow Region needs its Rainbow Train, and
There’s every reason to run the trains again.

It’s a cruisy ride on our rainbow train.
See the countryside from the train again on a rainbow train!

These bio-diesel motors are run on macadamia
Oil that comes from growing trees locally, sustainably.
The Rainbow Region needs its Rainbow Train, and
There’s every reason to run the trains again.

A TOOT TOOT a TOOT TOOT – We’re waitin’ on it
A TOOT TOOT a TOOT TOOT – ‘Waitin’ on it
A TOOT TOOT a TOOT TOOT – We’re waitin’ on it
A TOOT TOOT a TOOT TOOT – ‘Waitin’ on it

We want our trains back on the tracks.
We want our trains, we need them back.
TOOT for the future ~ Trains on our tracks.
TOOT for the future ~ We want them back!

YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US AT A PUBLIC RALLY WHICH AIMS TO GET TRAINS BACK ON OUR TRACKS

@ Lismore Railway Station Thursday March 10th from 4.30, and
@ Byron Bay Railway Station Saturday March 12 from 4.30pm

We need a crowded station of people ‘waiting for a train’ as we play & sing together the song ‘TOOT for the Future’. Find below a copy of the lyrics and feel free to copy and circulate these widely as with this invitation.

We aim to video the event, edit it into a DVD and circulate it far and wide prior to the State Election. Any profits from the event will go directly towards research into establishing our own Rainbow Region Railways and running light rail services on renewable sources, such as bio-diesel motors run on macadamia oil.

We are inviting all pollies who say they’d bring back the train to be present with placards in hand. We would love to have a good cross section of the community represented and would particularly like some of our local legends, pioneers and long time forest campaigners present on the day so that this can be something of an historical piece, a time capsule.

We ask you to come in your TOOT suits or colourful clothes, or work uniforms if preferred, with a placard if possible.

If you strongly support this cause and would like to be part of the project team to co-organise these events and ensure it is the success it deserves then we’d love to hear from you.

We are planning to have our first practice run at Lismore Station this Thursday, February 17th at 5.30pm and you are most welcome to join us then. We’ll look at forming the project team following this event.

To be included on the TOOT song project email network and receive regular updates directly or for further information please contact Garth & Lydia Kindred on 66882220 or email kindred@nrg.com.au
