Mulling over the Week

7

I have returned home –  cleaned up around the door with mowing the longest grass..  Slipped on the 5 steps at the back of house…

With the blood still on my wound.. I attempt to photograph with inbuilt camera.  I doubt you would like to see the foot all black and swollen! One should not walk on slippery steps,  – I had a choice, the small cottage has front entry of 3 steps!

I left Rockhampton via Paradise Coaches.. Thursday evening departing City around 6.30pm EST  Au..   Wet road with sections of water over road, but no serious flooding at that hour.  Our driver was ”Lorna,”  now I was not certain at first that I knew her.. yep, she was one of 3 persons who interviewed me in September 1998 for a position as Carer in A State Home for Queensland Health – Disability Services Division.   I bumbled through that interview, & was not accepted into the job, only 7 positions, 11 applicants – who wanted a 56 year old, anyhow??

Lorna got us to our destination, Blackwater,  2 – 3 disembarked as well as me.  Lap-top over my shoulder,  bag with plants in hand as well as calcio bag with purse & phone… Son collected the larger bag down in Luggage Partition.

What ever happened to team-work? Maxynne is taking on a Dictator Ship role even if she is asking a ‘Sheepie Volunteer’ to show you the door, politely of course. I have tried to attend local Community activity that suits my age & interests but going for a Charatable Meal, fundend by Government or Church ( the latter no doubt has accepted ‘a grant,’ & put in nos of persons expected to benefit ) have been the least of my interests as I can do better myself..cooking & preparing my own.

If someone came & offered to mow my patch for $50.00 I would take them up on the offer! To call a ‘contractor mower person,’ just to be told they are too busy, flat out with present contracts, not interested in a ‘one-off’ deal – they can truch off to where ever!

Can’t find a meaning for TRUCH other than a village in England.. but this sounds just grand…..
